Dough Mixer Recipes
1. Bread & Rolls
This is the most common use for a dough hook.
Bread:
White bread, whole wheat bread, multigrain bread, sourdough bread (for mixing and initial kneading), rye bread, brioche.
Rolls:
Dinner rolls, slider buns, hot dog buns, hamburger buns.
Artisan Bread:
French baguettes, ciabatta bread, rustic-style bread.
Sweet Bread:
Cinnamon rolls, babka bread, pumpkin bread.
2. Pizza & Flatbreads
Pizza Dough:
All types of pizza crusts, from thin and crispy to thick and chewy.
Flatbreads:
Naan, pita bread, focaccia.
Calzones & Stromboli:
Uses the same dough as pizza dough.
3. Pastries & Laminated Doughs
A mixer can prepare the initial dough, while laminating (adding butter layers) is usually done by hand.
Croissants:
Used for mixing the détrempe (base dough).
Danish Pastries:
Also used for preparing the base dough.
Puff Pastry:
Used for the initial dough before laminating.
